They did it! Our Rightio Roadrunners completed the Great Birmingham 10K challenge and have raised an incredible amount for Birmingham Children's Hospital in the process!
"The day went exceptionally well", our Customer Excellence Manager, Azir, tells us. "The friends and family of our runners turned up at the finish line armed with with drinks and snacks for the team - and they were all beaming with pride."
"Our first time Roadrunners Josh, Alfie, Priyanka, Charlotte and Rianna had never taken part in anything like this before, and they were all surprised by how much they enjoyed themselves - and promised to do it all again next year!"
There was even more excitement when our brilliant Customer Adviser, Matt, was captured by Channel 5's cameras, passing the finish line and giving his little girl a high five.
After finishing up the race and soaking in the praise from the crowds, the Roadrunners made their way over to the Birmingham Children's Hospital's stand to strike a pose with the BCH Bear! And let the team know how much we had raised...
Thanks to the incredible generosity displayed by everyone at Rightio, the friends and family of the runners, and the support from our expert engineers, we have raised a massive £1,700 to help Birmingham Children's Hospital!
All the money raised will go towards helping out Ward 10, the Department of Neurosciences, which provides a specialist service for children who require Neurosurgery, Epilepsy Surgery, Neuro-rehabilitation and Craniofacial Surgery.
We can't wait to get stuck into another challenge... Wonder who we can talk into a sponsored skydive?... ;)
