Role Description:

We're looking for a proactive, organised, and ambitious Marketing Assistant to join our growing marketing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent marketing graduate or someone in the early stages of their marketing career who is looking to gain broad, hands-on experience across multiple marketing disciplines within a fast-paced business environment.

Working closely with the Marketing Manager and wider team, you'll support a range of activities including campaign coordination, research projects, reporting, email marketing, social media, and digital marketing administration. You'll gain exposure to both strategic and day-to-day marketing activities whilst developing valuable commercial experience within a national business.

The successful candidate will be naturally curious, highly organised, and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in building a long-term career in marketing.

This role offers excellent development opportunities for someone looking to grow their skills and progress within a supportive and expanding marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Campaign Support

  • Support with the coordination and delivery of marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Build and schedule email marketing campaigns using supplied designs and templates.
  • Assist with campaign setup, proofreading, and testing.
  • Support wider marketing projects and activities as required.

Research & Growth Initiatives

  • Conduct research to support existing business growth initiatives and marketing projects.
  • Research suppliers, platforms, competitors, and new marketing opportunities.
  • Gather and organise findings to support the wider marketing team.

Social Media Support

  • Assist with scheduling and posting social media content across company platforms.
  • Support with maintaining and organising content calendars.
  • Assist with basic reporting and engagement monitoring where required.

Digital Marketing & Reporting Support

  • Support with Google PPC administration and reporting tasks.
  • Assist with maintaining marketing spreadsheets, campaign trackers, and reporting documents.
  • Support with compiling daily, weekly, and monthly marketing performance reports.

General Administration & Cross-Department Support

  • Provide general administrative support to the marketing department.
  • Coordinate and support marketing-related tasks for other departments within the business.
  • Maintain organised records, documents, and marketing assets.
  • Support the wider team with ad hoc projects and administrative duties as needed.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Degree, degree apprenticeship, relevant qualification, or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Previous marketing experience gained through internships, placements, degree apprenticeships, university projects, part-time roles, or employment is desirable
  • Genuine interest in pursuing a long-term career in marketing
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with building marketing emails and social media content is beneficial
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing channels, including PPC, social media, email marketing and SEO, is advantageous
  • Positive, proactive, and willing to support wider team objectives
  • Ability to work independently whilst contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and marketing techniques
