A Rightio employee recently featured as part of a team to interview UK Prime Minister Theresa May on her recent visit to Street League in Aston.
Jordon Steadman, who works as a Customer Acquisition Advisor at Rightio, was chosen to be part of the team after impressing developing his job skills with the national charity and in turn landing the job at Rightio.
Jordan said, "It's not every Monday you get to meet the Prime Minister."
During Jordan's short spell with Street League, he developed confidence and communication skills that have helped him immensely during his eight months at Rightio.
"It was great to speak to the PM about the role that both Rightio and Street League has played in my development."
The PM learnt how Street League uses sport to engage with local youngsters and supports them to develop the key skills needed for employment alongside support from employers such as Rightio.
Speaking to the Street League team during her visit, The Prime Minister said, "I'm delighted to be here at Street League, hearing about how they help young people get into employment, and overcome the barriers to getting a job.
"We are launching a new £90million programme which is going to be about getting young people into employment, and particularly recognising that young people, aged 16-24 from other ethnic groups are twice as likely to be unemployed as their white peers."
Street League was able to change the lives of 1700 young people last year, thanks to support from all of its funding and partnerships with employers.
